Deanna Bitteti

Deanna is the Associate Director of Common Cause New York. Before joining Common Cause she served as the District Representative for Congress Member Yvette D. Clarke in the U.S. House of Representatives where she was responsible for responding to constituent concerns and handled issues pertaining to environmental policy and Middle Eastern affairs. Prior to her employment at Congresswoman Clarke’s office, she worked as the Senior Editorial Assistant and right hand staffer to the US Bureau Chief at the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. She was also a recent fellow at Brookhaven National Laboratory where she studied with leading experts in the field of atomic energy and nuclear security. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College as an Honors College Fellow and a Masters of Public Administration in International Economic Policy from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. Nastassja Noell

Nastassja is an aspiring investigative journalist that has helped to shed light on issues associated natural gas production. She graduated last November from DePaul University with a B.A. in Political Science and is now attending Evergreen State College to prepare for an M.S. in Ecology and Environmental Journalism. She resides in Washington state where she is working with groups to establish regional sustainability and direct democracy. Her primary focuses in Ghana include resource extraction, food sovereignty, ecological stewardship, and social justice issues. Adam Wylie

Adam is an Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor and Compliance Specialist with Goldenberg Schneider, LPA.  Prior to this assignment, he worked in foundries and automotive manufacturing as a facility and corporate environmental engineer, managing compliance and implementing management systems.  His current position takes him to manufacturing, extraction, and utility facilities throughout the United States and in many parts of the world.  Adam earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Chemistry from GMI/Kettering University in 2000, and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science and Management from Duquesne University in 2003.  Adam grew up in Michigan, spending most of his time outdoors, and currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana with his wife and two children.  Contact Adam at adam.g.wylie@gmail.com.


Samantha Malone

A Pittsburgh native, Sam is a doctoral student in the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH) & the Communications Specialist for the Center for Healthy Environments & Communities (CHEC) within GSPH. At CHEC, she has helped to identify natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale region of the U.S. as an emerging environmental & public health threat and launched FracTracker.org. FracTracker is a geo‐web platform designed to share multidimensional data & information related to shale gas drilling... On a more personal note, Sam loves travelling, sports, good beer, & food made from scratch!
